Order / Structure

Description moves from general information to details:

  • general information: You can see a park, and there are many trees and people. The weather is good and the sun is shining.
  • details: In the center, there is a girl with a brown dog. They are playing with a ball. Next to her a man is sleeping in the grass.


Description moves from one part of the picture to another:

  • On the left, the is a boy who is reading a book.
  • In the centre, some children are looking at their phones and listening to music.
  • Their teacher is standing at the board on the right side of the room.
  • In the background you can see windows and the schoolyard.

Progressive form, weil sie das gerade, nicht immer trägt (Es regnet ja nicht immer)

  1. In this picture, there are two boys. They are wearing T-shirts and shorts. The weather is very good, because the sky is blue and the sun is shining.

The boys are running after a dog. They want to go swimming in the lake.

TENSES: Formen von "to be" in simple form, alle anderen Verben im progressive

 

  1. On the right side of the room, there is a small table. On top of the table, there are some books. Next to the table, there is a green lamp.

The room has got two windows
TENSES: Nur simple present, weil das eine Eigenschaft/immer so ist - keine gerade ablaufende Handlung!).
ABER dann: A cat is sleeping on the bed. - progressive form, was das eine Tätigkeit ist, die noch abläuft/nicht beendet ist.

What people are doing/wearing at this moment, what is happening ...==> present progressive!

I think they're having a picnic. OR The two girls are jumping over the ramps with their skateboards.

What things are usually, always, often like,    what they look like ==> simple present!' It looks like a cow. OR The house has got a red door.
